Lunar Eclipse Super Moon and Blood Moon 21.1.19

Lunar Eclipse Super Moon and Blood Moon 21.1.19

Michael Conneely

There is a Lunar Eclipse on 21st January 2019.

Because of its closeness to the Earth and its resultant brightness, it is a ‘Supermoon’.
And because of the way it will look in the heavens it will be called a red ‘Blood Moon’. And because of its power I have chosen an image of Euripides’ fateful priestess, Medea, as this Blogs ‘featured image’.

This Eclipse is early in the morning at 05.16 hrs here in the West of Ireland, and it’s actually on Jan 20th in some parts of USA.

To find out its date in time in your location, see: https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/lunar/2019-january-21

Read on below for an extensive analysis of what this Lunar Eclipse means for you.

What is a Lunar Eclipse?
A Lunar Eclipse is where the Earth travels between the Sun and the Moon, and cuts off the Suns light to the Moon, putting the face of the Moon into darkness:

What is an Eclipse?
The Nodes of the Moon are the intersection points of the paths of the Sun and Moon around the Earth, as seen from Earth. Rahu is the North Node, the Ascending Node; Ketu is the South Node, the Descending Node.
When the Sun and the Moon arrive at these intersection points at the time of a New Moon or Full Moon, there is an Eclipse.

This Lunar Eclipse Details: 21.1.19:
Vedic Astrology:
In Vedic astrology, using the sidereal zodiac: The Moon of this eclipse is at 6 deg Vedic Cancer; the Sun is at 6 deg Vedic Capricorn.
Vedic Astrology also has a most wonderful system of 27 Lunar Signs called the Nakshatras, as well as its 12 Solar Signs, and in terms of the Nakshatras:
The Eclipse Moon is in Pushyami Nakshatra; The Eclipse Sun is in UttaraAshadha Nakshatra.
Western Astrology:
In western astrology, tropical Zodiac:
The Moon is at 1 deg Leo, and the Sun is at 1 deg Aquarius.
This is the final eclipse of the western tropical zodiac Leo/Aquarius axis, occurring in the first degree of Leo. It’s a super-moon: closer to Earth and so brighter, and it’s a Blood Moon.

And note that other planets are active to join the energy of this Eclipse, see below:

Uranus: Note that Uranus is T-square this eclipse axis in the heavens (see chart below)

Jupiter and Neptune: And note that there is a Jupiter square Neptune aspect at the same time.

Mercury too is caught up in this eclipse, he is conjunct Ketu the South Node, and the Sun.

Neptune is sextile Saturn. See below

ASTROLOGY READINGS: If you find that this Eclipse is conjuncting one of your personal planets in your birth chart, then it is a very good idea for you to get in touch with me for a Reading.

Here is the Vedic chart for this Eclipse:

And here is the western chart for this eclipse:

N.B. And here is the Eclipse Visibility Map:

What is the Nature of an Eclipse?

Basically, Eclipses achieve the undamming of dammed up energy. They are intense turning points: personal and collective. They are like an earthquake which releases tension that have built up in the Earth’s crust. And, of course, if that earthquake happens under the sea, there’s a tidal wave. In fact, earthquakes and tsunamis often occur at Eclipse time. So eclipses can mean ‘learning through turmoil or shock’. Dramas and crises.

Eclipse Aspecting natal plants: So, to understand how an eclipse will affect you, well there will be an earthquake or a tidal wave for you and your life, if the Eclipse falls on one of the planets in your birth chart. Or opposite one of your natal planets.

Eclipse in the Houses of your birth chart: And your life will also be affected, though in a less extreme way, in the ‘life area’ covered by the House in your birth chart that the Eclipse falls in.
N.B. I will be publishing guides to how to assess the meaning of Eclipses and also transits in your birth chart in the coming week or two on this Blog, so look out for these

Timing of Eclipse effects: Note that Lunar Eclipses have a big immediate effect if they activate your birth chart in this way. Solar eclipses have less personal (more geopolitical) effects. And note also that Eclipses leave areas of stagnant energy in the heavens in the area where they occur. And these patches of stagnant energy will be activated if a planet transits over it in the couple of years following the Eclipse.

Eclipse effects: Eclipses can leave us in temporary blindness and can create instability fo our mind. We need to watch this. We need to manage this. But in the positive side, eclipse can really bring out the positive divine nature of any planet in our birth char that they conjunct. Eclipses offer us get out of jail free cards, they offer us illuminations and expansions, even though they may feel painful at the time (because of our blocks and limitations). And there is the dimension that they link us to the unfoldment in the collective consciousness as well.

More Detail on the Planets active in this Eclipse:
So, let’s look in a bit more detail about the energy of this 21st January 2019 Lunar Eclipse. Well, Sun, Ketu (South node) and Mercury are ALL in Vedic Capricorn, and they fall in UttaraAshadha Nakshatra:

Ketu in Capricorn:
Ketu is at the very end of its 18-month transit retrograde through Vedic Capricorn. There was a very full-on time in 2018 when transiting Mars was conjunct Ketu in Vedic Capricorn, and I found this to be a totally driven energy, expressing itself in technical matters like building work, but also in inspirational energy matters.
My wife Maggie Pashley developed a lot of energy healing methods such as Future Life Progression, Past Life work and Soul Realignment healing.
And in addition to the building work, I found loads of inspiration coming through about the nature of magic (I developed a Magical Will course) and about the ever-powerful role of the Mythic, which, of course, consumer modernity banns from our world and our consciousness, and relevant to that I have had such wonderful endless waves of inspiration for my novel about the Gods and Goddesses of the ancient Irish.
Relevant to Ketu in Capricorn, our earth energy work has also developed. I have felt the powerful energies in the quartz-rich rocks round here in the megaliths of the Neolithic people who came to Ireland, and Maggie has worked with a Lecher Antenna, which measures energies in  the human body, but also measures earth energies, and the machine reveals that such are the energies in the rocks of the Court Tombs and megaliths round here, that the energy lines running across the land are diverted by the high quartz-rich rock circles, and these rock monuments create energy-rich circles of great power of their own, especially if they are not near roads, or human occupation or the excavation and ‘reconstruction’ work of archaeologists. So, in summary the energy of Ketu in Capricorn for us has been technical, inspiration in a lightning-burst way. And I believe that this energy will be enhanced by this Eclipse which had Ketu at 2 deg Vedic Capricorn.

Ketu enters Vedic Sagittarius in March and the Great Conjunction forms:

Pluto, Saturn and Ketu form a great conjunction. Atomic Pluto blows open your prison walls as Ketu cuts them down to open the door to inspiration. Note that Ketu is about to cross retrograde into the next sign, Vedic Sagittarius, on March 6th. And note very especially that when Ketu does move into Vedic Sagittarius, the great conjunction is formed: the biggest event of 2019, in Vedic Sagittarius, with Saturn and Ketu in PurvaAshadha Nakshatra, and with Pluto, Ketu, Saturn all conjunct, and the world has not seen that energy here since 1517AD. And what happened then was that Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses on the Cathedral door in Guttenberg. The Catholic Church was destroyed in Northern Europe. The Reformation was proclaimed.
So, what will this great conjunction in Vedic Sagittarius mean in your life????
It was started by the Solar Eclipse of 5th January 2019. And this Lunar eclipse of 21st January is the second part of the great conjunction’s energy-build-up.
ASTROLOGY READING: As I said, quite frankly, if you do have natal planets in Vedic Capricorn or Sagittarius, or especially in PurvaAshadha Nakshatra, then you will find it real insight support and help to get in touch with me for an Astrology Reading.

Eclipse Moon in Vedic Cancer:

Cancer is of course ruled by the Moon, and this Eclipse has Moon and Rahu (North node) in Cancer. Moon is at 6 deg, Rahu is at 2 deg. So, this means the Eclipse is very powerful. We will need to watch the stability of our minds, and take it easy in the days around the Eclipse, especially if we have a natal planet in Vedic Cancer.
For example, if we have Mars in Vedic Cancer we could go quite ballistic at the time this eclipse!!!
And if our natal Moon is in a Mars-ruled sign or Nakshatra, for example, if we have Moon in Mrigashira Nakshatra ruled by Mars, our family members might do well to retreat to the bunker!
And note that if you have Moon conjunct Ketu in your Vedic birth chart, you will be very prone to hissy fits or even downright explosions.
ASTROLOGY READING: Quite frankly, if you do have natal planets in Vedic Cancer, you will find it real insight support and help to get in touch with me for an Astrology Reading.

Huge Energy about to form in Vedic Gemini:

This is big. Of course, just as Ketu is leaving Capricorn to enter Vedic Sagittarius, so too Rahu is actually leaving Vedic Cancer to enter Vedic Gemini. And note that this builds the way to a sort of Armageddon effect.

This is because Mars too is heading towards Vedic Gemini. So this means there will be a Mars-Rahu conjunction in Vedic Gemini from May to July 2019, and note that this, of course, is in opposition the Great Conjunction of Pluto-Ketu-Saturn which is in Vedic Sagittarius, pretty well all of 2019, in UttaraAshadha Nakshatra.

If you have planets on this axis, you really do need to develop perception of the energies involved.
And you do need to develop perception of your own personal energies and characteristics that will be affected. I say this because one of the facets of PurvaAshadha can be very ‘noblesse oblige’ and with a sense of superiority, and one of the characteristics of Ardra, opposite, can be a very tunnel-visioned me first energy. But of course, see my Nakshatra videos and blogs on the internet for a fuller more balanced depiction than these, and do follow my wonderful Vedic Astrology Nakshatras course.
ASTROLOGY READING: Quite frankly, if you do have natal planets in Vedic Gemini, you will find it a real insight, support and help to get in touch with me for an Astrology Reading.

Eclipse Moon in Pushyami Nakshatra:

Pushyami is the 8th Nakshatra and it is ruled by Saturn. With Ketu in Saturn-ruled Capricorn, I feel that Pushyamis will feel this energy greatly, but as I said above, at its best this Eclipse will bring out an inspirational technical energy in Pushyamis. Pushyamis are very nurturing (their power animal is the lead ram), so this eclipse will hit them big time on issues around the nature and spiritual dimension and realities of nurturing others.
Pushyami is ruled by Brihaspati, and Jupiter is exalted in Cancer where Pushyami lies. Watch out therefore for this eclipse shattering blocks to your spiritual expansiveness and inspiration. Cooperate with this. Ditch the old if necessary. Cooperate with the new spiritual insights and awareness coming in following this Eclipse.

Eclipse Sun in UttaraAshadha Nakshatra:

From personal clients around the world, I have found that this is a huge time for people with planets in Uttarashadha Nakshatra, which spans from the end of Vedic Sagittarius inot the start of Vedic Capricorn. There have been such spiritual openings. If you have Sun Moon or a planet in UttarAshadha Nakshatra, the effects of this eclipse on you and your life will be huge. ASTROLOGY READING: if you do have natal planets in UttaraAshadha, then you will find it a real insight, support and help to get in touch with me for an Astrology Reading. And let’s hope it will involve positive undamming of your inspirational and spiritual potential with which you will cooperate. Of course, remember that an Eclipse on the natal Moon can have effects and implications for your mother, as well. Ketu traversing your natal Moon often signifies a tough time for your mother, and can indicate the coming death of your mother.

Mercury is involved in Eclipses this Year:

Note that Mercury of this Eclipse, is at 1 deg Vedic Capricorn, conjunct Ketu at 2 deg Capricorn and conjunct Eclipse Sun at 6 deg Capricorn. Note that Mercury is also caught in the Eclipse of 15th June in Vedic Gemini, which is opposition the Great Saturn-Ketu-Pluto conjunction in Vedic Sagittarius. Personally, I expect to experience that this involvement of Mercury might skew Mercury’s normal communication and IT dreadful issues, but will aside from that, prove to bring in inspirational thoughts and inspirations. Here is the ShriJyotiStar bar graph presentation of Mercury’s Retrogradations (and also other retrogrades) this year:

Uranus is T-Square the Eclipse:

Uranus is at 4 deg Vedic Aries, in Ashwini Nakshatra, he is moving forward after a series of retrogrades (he went direct on January 6th), and for people with planets in early Vedic Aries and early Vedic Libra, this Uranus transit has offered such wonderful revolution in all circumstance of life, and such inspiration.

But the fact that Uranus is T-square this eclipse axis, and of course T-square the Nodal axis too, means that Uranus is offering collective shock and revolution too.

The last time Uranus entered Vedic Aries and Ashwini saw the burning fo the Reichstag and Adolph Hitler’s rise to power. We hope the world consciousness will avoid such a horrific manifestation fo the Uranus in Aries energy, this time!

This time so far, it has seen the rise of Donald Trump to presidential power.

Jupiter is square Neptune at the time of this Eclipse:

Personally, I’m lovin it (though the ‘generosity overdone’ chilled me a bit. But here’s what Reinhold Ebertin has to say about this
PRINCIPLE:              compassion, mysticism, artisticness, speculation, deception.
PSYCHOLOGICAL:  +          abundance of feeling or emotional expression. Active and intense imagination. Idealism. The enjoyment of moulding things, art, music. Interest in the metaphysical and religious. Great love of humanity. The ability to give love to those who need it. Stability in material things. Generosity overdone.
–          impressionability. Seducability. Dreaminess. A conflict between vision and ‘reality’. The inclination to revel or idealize. Constantly misunderstood. The inclination to speculate. Wastefulness.
C:         Love of humanity. Idealism. Mysticism. An interest in art.
BIOLOGICAL:             General lack of tone in the organs of the body. Atrophy. The excessive increase of water in the blood (Haemolysis). The wrong diagnosis.
SOCIOLOGICAL:         visionaries. Dreamers. Mystics. Hypocrites. speculators.
PROBABLE MANIFESTATIONS:
the pursuit of idealistic inclinations. A merciful and compassionate nature. The tendency to speculate. Gain without effort.
–                  a poor speculation. Seduction. One’s instability causes a scandal. Losses. Political conflicts.

Neptune is sextile Saturn:

Neptune offers guiding vision when we experience him positively, and shows us the stripping out and death of illusion. Saturn insists that we have structure and hard work. The sextile energy that is in the heavens at the time of this eclipse is good for bringing structure to your intuitions and inspirations. Saturn will support Neptune now. Neptune will transform Saturn now. Create a craft to take you to some needed new life area now.

Saturn Pluto South Node Ketu The Great Conjunction forms 2019

Saturn Pluto South Node Ketu The Great Conjunction forms 2019

Michael Conneely

A great conjunction is gathering.

It’s in the Vedic Sign of Sagittarius
this is Western Capricorn.

The gathering planets are:

Saturn
South Node/Ketu
Pluto.

The last time there was this conjunction in Sagittarius was in 1517AD. What happened then was that Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses on the Cathedral door in Guttenberg. The Catholic Church was destroyed in Northern Europe. The Reformation was proclaimed.

So, what will this great conjunction in Vedic Sagittarius mean in your life?

N.B. You can see the western and Vedic Astrology charts for this conjunction at the end of this blog post.

Here’s what first came to my mind, personally, when I, myslef, first intuitively connected to this Conjunction:

Revealing dreams with profound unconscious contents, anxiety toward freedom, a sudden decision followed by action. Illumination.

It started with the January 2019 Solar Eclipse: This great conjunction (Saturn-Ketu/South Node- Pluto), forms out of the January Solar Eclipse in Vedic Sagittarius, in PurvAshadha Nakshatra (on 5th 6th January depending on where you are in the world (c/w video).
See my youtube video and blog:  swa.ie/ECLIPSEJan19
/blog.starwheelastrology.com/solar-eclipse-5th-and-6th-january-2019-it-ushers-in-a-huge-saturn-ketu-south-node-pluto-conjunction/
January 2019 Newsletter: And for details of January 2019 astrology, on how the great conjunction forms, see my January 2019 Astrology and Healing Video/Newsletter:
swa.ie/ASTROLOGYjan19
blog.starwheelastrology.com/the-astrology-of-january-2019-and-presentation-of-body-code-healing/
And note that the force of this Great Conjunction continues to the end of 2019.

Let’s look at the natures of the transiting planets involved in this great conjunction:

Saturn separates and makes us face our karma. He demands hard work, patience

Ketu renounces, and sends us meltdowns and downfalls with Divine Purpose to offer us enlightenment and put us on-course. In our birth chart, Ketu is where we come in from past life; but Rahu North Node is the direction we are karmically thrown towards in this life incarnation. It is major wen the transiting Nodes conjucnt the natal Nodes.

Pluto is our Power or lack of it. He is Death and Rebirth. He is deep psychism; intensity and rebirth, or negatively. He is control and abuse. Plutonian force offers us compelling pressure to change from our former past life and our false security scripts. Resistance to Pluto has devastating implications. Karmic force.

Next, let’s look at how these planets combine:

Saturn – Ketu Usually seems to be characterised by melt-down, if our life is off course in terms of career or spiritual paradigm. It offers mystical breakthrough. On another level it can be skeletal surgery, or precision detailed work.

Saturn – Pluto
can be the grimly held imposer of formula OR the chalice bearer of the fires of Transformation.

Pluto – Ketu
Huge. Phoenix rising from the ashes. Deep Inspiration. Major closures. Pain. Liberation. Can be destruction (of the superfluous), investigation, compulsion. Matters of power issues and past life destiny, effort and great mystical accomplishment. What we need to overcome. Leaving toxicity. Reliving of Past Life. Regeneration and potential for rebirth. If in the 6th House can indicate weight loss. Death of old self; new life trajectory. Karmic force. Elimination of what no longer serves.

Next, A Second Conjunction forms in May 2019, opposite:

So, not that the above is the nature of the Great Conjunction forming in your chart, in Vedic Sagittarius, but as if that was not enough, another malefic conjunction is forming exactly opposite in Vedic Gemini, coming to exactness in June/July 2019:

Mars conjuncts Rahu North Node in Gemini in May to July 2019, and as you can see from the charts at the end of this blog post, this Mars/North node Rahu conjunction opposes the Saturn/Pluto conjunct Ketu in Sagittarius.

So, what effect will the Great Conjunction and the Mars/Rahu conjunction opposite have on you and your life?

Do check out which Houses are involved in your birth chart for this martial and destructive energy in Vedic Gemini, situated oppostion the great conjunction of Saturn, Ketu, Pluto.

See the Chart for June 13th, Chart 5, below.

So, we see that in terms of chart analysis, the Great Conjunction affects a lot in anyone’s chart and their life; some more than others!

The great conjucntion and the Mars/Rahu conjunction opposite affects at least the following:

1. The area of your life that is the House that is Sagittarius in your Vedic chart.
2. The planet Jupiter who rules Vedic Sagittarius. What role does Jupiter play in your chart and your current predictive astrology?
3. The other Houses that Jupiter rules or occupies in your Vedic birth Chart.
4. Saturn in your birth chart and the houses that Saturn rules or occupies and the role that Saturn plays in your current predictive astrology.
5. And looking now at what is happening opposite in Vedic Gemini: A conjunction of Rahu North Node and Mars forming in June / July, this affects the life area that is the House for Vedic Gemini in your birth chart, Mercury who is the ruler of Gemini and also Virgo, and the role that Mercury plays in your current predictive astrology.
6. Purva Shada, the 20th Nakshatra, is IMMENSELY affected. It’s ruled by Venus, in the sign of Vedic Sagittarius (also affecting Nx 21 UttarAshadha).
7. Punarvasu, the 7th Nakshatra, spanning Vedic Gemini and early Vedic Cancer, opposite the great conjunction. Punarvasu is heavily affected.

Which Nakshatra does this Eclipse form in? The January Solar Eclipse and all that happens from it in Vedic Sagittarius, is in PurvAshadha Nakshatra. See PurvAshadha meaning and charts, below.

Which House in your birth chart? Of course, absolutely crucially, you do have to look what House Sagittarius is in your Vedic birth chart. This makes such a key to perceiving how the energies of this transiting conjunction will manifest in your life: in what area of your life. For some basic key words describing each House in your Vedic birth chart, see below.

Have A Reading: Have and Astrology Reading with Michael Conneely. Expert Vedic Astrology combined with Western Psychodynamic and Evolutionary Western Astrology:  www.starwheelastrology.com/buyanastrologyreading.html

The Gathering of the Conjunction: So, there’s more analysis of the great conjunction below, but here are the five steps of its gathering through 2019:

The gathering of this conjunction all starts with the Solar Eclipse, the New Moon of 6th January when the Sun/Moon of the Eclipse conjunct Saturn at 21 Vedic Sagittarius and Pluto at 26 Vedic Sagittarius.
(See chart 1 below).

The next step in the gathering is on 7th March when Ketu/South Node enters Vedic Sagittarius to Join Saturn and Pluto.
(See chart 2 below)

By 1st April, the conjunction is powerful and close, with Saturn at 24 deg Vedic Sagittarius, Ketu at 29 deg and Pluto at 38 deg.
(See charts 3a Vedic and 3b Western, below).

The Conjunction is at its very closest on 22nd May until 30th September, with Saturn and Ketu’s cutting energy retrograding side by side from 9th May from 26 to 19 deg Vedic Sagittarius.
(See Chart 4, below)

The Conjunction wanes by 24.1.20, when Saturn leaves Vedic Sagittarius and enters Vedic Capricorn. But that’s not actually the end, as Saturn and Pluto are both in UttarAshadha Nakshatra which spans the end of Vedic Sagittarius and the start of Vedic Capricorn. And look what’s happened to Jupiter. Jupiter is now in a powerful Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto conjunction – but more about that nearer the time! (See chart 6, below)

PurvAshadha Nakshatra:

Here are some very brief details on the twentieth Nakshatra: PurvAshadha Nakshatra, where the eclipse and the great conjunction falls:
See my Video: swa.ie/Nakshatra20
See my Blog: blog.starwheelastrology.com/purva-ashadha-nakshatra-number-20/
So, let’s look at this brief excerpt about Nx 20. PurvaAshadha, the Nakshatra that this Eclipse falls in, as due to the upcoming Saturn-Ketu-Pluto conjunction these people will be especially experiencing energies of awesome dimensions:
Learn the Nakshatras: Enroll on Michael Conneely’s wonderful Nakshatras Course: www.mastervedicastrology.com/nakshatras.html
Purva Ashadha spans: 13°20′ to 26°40′ Sagittarius / Dhanus
Padas are: Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio
Ruled by Venus (Venus Dasa: 20 years)
Translation: The Former Unsubdued. Purva Ashadha means “early victory”.
Power Animal/Yoni: Male Monkey
Motivation: Moksha
Guna Triplicity: Sattva, Rajas and Tamas
Ayurvedic Dosha: Pitta
Body Part: Back
Gana: Human
Quality: Fierce

Key Words:
Strength and Victory. Invincible: they smash through anything in their way.
Proud, independent. Obstinate and can’t be influenced by others.
Their symbol, the fan denotes superiority.
They have an intense conviction that they cannot lose, and they have the ability to come out on top – and at times this can be misplaced or positively malign for the effect they will have on others. it is not an impatient energy; but it is implacable – and can of course be unrealistic or inappropriate. Fearless and controlling. Social climbers. Oratorical, obstinate and aggressive.
Blind to their own flaws and in self-denial.
Often creative and talented.
Often supported through many friends.
Full of their own opinions and judgmental.
They are orientated towards Moksha, but in their search for Moksha, they are over-expansive, and their overexpansion and opinionated nature can crush or disregard others.
Their Pitta orientation makes them fiery and forceful, inspirational and charismatic.
Their rulership by Venus can so often tend them to pursue illusion and deception, and because this couples with their mental aggression, the resultant mix is unstoppable.
They tend to develop influence, ambitious and fearless, always improving, ambitious to improve their life situation.
They have deep emotions, philosophical.
They are confrontational, angry, harsh.
As regards spiritual path, this Nakshatra can be formulaic and implacable, devotional but dogmatic. They can have a deeply philosophical or religious nature, but they do need to strip away their ego otherwise their spiritual path can crush others.
They have an ability to influence the masses.
Purva Ashadha can bring fame, wealth, fertility and wisdom.
They can have flashes of inspiration and insight. There can be phases or purification and regeneration. The meaning of life can suddenly be revealed to them.
They need to maintain purity, but often their false purity becomes a supreme and destructive agenda.

Which House does the Conjunction fall in, in your Vedic Birth Chart?

So, let’s look first at the House that this Eclipse falls in in your Vedic birth Chart:
This Table also shows very brief key words for the area of your life which each House indicates.
So the area of your life indicated by the House which is Vedic Sagittarius, which is where the Solar Eclipse and the Great Conjunction fall in, must be taken into account.

Solar Eclipse 5th and 6th January 2019 It ushers in a huge Saturn Ketu/South Node Pluto conjunction

Michael Conneely

There’s a Solar Eclipse on 6 January 2019 (it’s on 5th January in USA) which is of great significance in our lives.

This is because it ushers in the truly awesome upcoming Saturn-Ketu-Pluto great conjunction that is forming now out of this eclipse and springs into great force in our lives from April 2019 onwards.

So, a Solar Eclipse is a New Moon, and its on 6.1.2019 at 01.25 hrs in Sligo, in the beautiful West of Ireland. It’s at:
21 deg 17 Vedic Sagittarius (Sidereal Zodiac), in PurvAshadha Nakshatra.
15 deg Capricorn in Western Astrology (Tropical Zodiac).

And this Eclipse will be actually visible in the following areas of the Earth, although all of us will be affected by its energy:

So, see below for my YouTube Video about this Eclipse, then following that there’s the charts in both Vedic and Western Astrology, and following those there’s a presentation about how to analyse the nature of Eclipses and the detail of this Eclipse, and most importantly, there’s an introductory note about the fact that this eclipse ushers in the great upcoming Saturn-Ketu-Pluto conjunction in Vedic Scorpio, in PurvAshadha Nakshatra, and there’s also more detail about PurvAshadha at the foot of this blog post.

First of all, here’s the video:

Here is the Vedic chart for this Eclipse:

And here is the Western chart for this Eclipse:

So basically, if you’re wanting to understand an eclipse, and what effect it will have in your life, here’s some key questions you should ask, but first of all, before we look at the key questions: what exactly do we mean by the ‘effects’ of an eclipse?:

Well, the energy of an eclipse is about the release of dammed-up tension. It’s like an earthquake that releases tension that’s built up in the earth’s crust due to two masses of rock moving against each other.

So, if you are in a good state in a life area affected by an eclipse, the effects of an Eclipse can be wonderful and liberating.

But if you are in a mess or gone wrong in your life in the life area affected by an eclipse, the effects can be catastrophic, and you will experience downfall.

AND the key thing is that there’s deep spiritual perception to be learned either way, when you experience an eclipse that affects key areas of your birth chart or that activates or increases features of your current predictive astrology.

So, here are three areas you can check out about an eclipse:

1. What is this eclipse’s nature? Zodiacal degree, location, full or partial, period of visibility, etc. Is it Solar or Lunar? If its Solar, like this one, its personal effects are often more muted, and often more aligned to political events. If it’s Lunar like the eclipse later in January, then its effects are more personal, huger and longer-lasting.

Check the positions of the Sun and the Moon, Rahu and Ketu the North and South Nodes of the Moon Eclipse, and also the Eclipse Ascendant. Then you see if these conjunct or oppose any planets in your natal chart.

2. Next, work out whether it will affect you? And if so, how will it affect you?
Your Planets: So, first, to work out whether an Eclipse affects you, check whether it eclipses/conjuncts or aspect one of your natal planets? This is because each planet is a vital force in our life. Some of our planets are in good standing; other of our planets are in a mess in our life destiny, and we are here to experience that, learn about the key spiritual nature of a planet, grow that planet. There is the perfect Divine Nature of each planet, and then there’s how we personally experience the nature and energy of a planet through the ‘filters’ of sign, house and aspect, etc. There’s some further notes, below, about how to analyse the actual manifestation of a planet in your Vedic birth chart and in your life, below. An do make sure to see my on line presentations of each planet, and enrol for one of my courses to learn this genuine beautiful material: Learn how to read your birth chart by enrolling on one of my one-to-one supportive courses in both western and Vedic astrology:

Your Houses: Next, check what House in your Vedic birth chart does the eclipse occupy? This is because Houses are about areas of life.
Your Nakshatras: The Nakshatras are the wonderful, incredibly powerful and deeply accurate Lunar Zodiac of Vedic Astrology. I have a course to teach the 27 Nakshatras and then in Part 2, the breathtakingly eye-opening techniques of Nakshatra interpretation in your life. See: wonderful Nakshatras Course: www.mastervedicastrology.com/nakshatras

3. So, how do you analyse the effects of an Eclipse a bit deeper, in your birth chart and therefore in your life?
Well, as I said, essentially to analyse an Eclipse, you look at whether the Eclipse’s Sun or Moon in the heavens, conjunct or oppose any of the planets in your natal chart. Then you definitely need to look at the House in your Vedic birth chart that is affected by the Eclipse. That shows the Area of Life affected.
But then for decent level of analysis, you need to consider the effect of the Eclipse on the ruling planet of that House, and in addition on the Houses in your birth chat affected by that ruling planet (The Houses it rules and the House it occupies in your natal chart). And you need to take into account any of your natal planets occupying that House where the Eclipse is, also any planets in aspect to the affected planet. Also, most importantly, the area of life that the affects planet is a karaka (natural indicator) for, or a charakaraka for (totally special indications of how a planet will perform in what area of your life, in a way that’s individual to you. And most certainly, you must consider if the affected planet plays a role in your life in that it rules your current predictive period in Vedic astrology, called a Dasa (and these have sub-periods, each with their own planet ruler).

And, as I said, you also need to bring into the analysis, the Nakshatra in which the Eclipse falls. So, just to tell you a bit more about the Nakshatras, the Nakshatras are the wonderful 27 Sign Lunar Zodiac of Vedic Astrology that depict so accurately, warts and all, our emotionally-based nature. And you also have to consider the effect of an eclipse on the ruling planet of that Nakshatra, the other Nakshatras that that ruling planet rules. And also, any of your natal planets occupying that Nakshatra. Learn the Nakshatras: Enroll on Michael Conneely’s wonderful Nakshatras Course: www.mastervedicastrology.com/nakshatras

So, this summarises as a checklist to analyse the following seven factors:

Any of your Natal Planets aspected by:
1. Eclipse Sun
2. Eclipse Moon
3. Eclipse Nodes
4. Eclipse Ascendant
PLUS:
5. Your natal House containing the Eclipse, plus its Ruler and occupants
6. The Nakshatra containing the eclipse, any of your natal planets occupying that Nakshatra, plus other Nakshatras with same Ruler
7. Future Effects

By Item 7, ‘Future Effects’, I identify the important fact that Eclipses leave an area of stagnant energy in the Heavens, waiting to be triggered or activated by upcoming planet events in that portion of the sky.

The upcoming Saturn-Ketu-Pluto conjunction:
So, this brings us to the fact that there is a most important unique feature to bear in mind when studying this particular eclipse. It ushers in the huge fierce vast-effect upcoming SaturnKetuPluto conjunction.
This is because this eclipse is in Vedic Sagittarius (ruled by Jupiter), in PurvAshadha Nakshatra (ruled by Venus) where a huge conjunction is forming now between transiting Saturn-Ketu-Pluto in the Heavens, and this conjunction springs into great force in our lives from April onwards, in the Houses in our birth chart affected by the Conjunction, and especially if we have natal planets in those Houses.
So, you need to develop very good and careful perception at this stage of what the sign Sagittarius means in your individual Vedic birth chart?
What part does Sagittarius’ ruler, Jupiter play in your birth chart?
What Houses in your chart does Jupiter rule or occupy?
Especially note if you are in a Jupiter predictive period, called a Jupiter Dasa (or sub-period).
Does PurvAshadha Nakshatra play a particular role in your birth chart?
What part does Venus the ruler of Purvashadha play in your life?
And note if you have planets in the other Nakshatras that Venus rules: Nx 2 Bharani and Nx 11 PurvaPhalguni.
N.B. Please do make sure to see my upcoming separate video totally dedicated to this major Saturn Ketu Pluto conjunction, and who will be affected, and how.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Also, please see my two shortly upcoming standalone Blogs:

Planets: if one of your planets is affected by an eclipse, look at the house it occupies in your Vedic birth chart, the houses it rules, and above all the nature of the planet.

See my video and Blog series on planet natures, for example, your Sun:
Sun in the Astrology Chart Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-_2-yhku28

Blog: blog.starwheelastrology.com/the-sun-in-your-astrology-chart-visionary-journey/

You need to take into account the Nature of that planet. Here are some simple points:

Planets as Indicators/Karakas:
And here is a simple Table of planet indicators or ‘affairs’ or ‘karakas’, what a planet NATURALLY indicates:

Sun – soul, confidence, generosity, power, ego, father.
Moon – feeling/emotions, connection, family, others, mother.
Mars – vitality, focus, aggression, logic, innocence, friends, brothers.
Mercury – speech/communication, skills, intellect, flexibility, humour.
Jupiter – wisdom, meaning, optimism, children, teachings.
Venus – pleasure, sex, happiness, beauty, comfort, laziness, lovers.
Saturn – Lord of Karma, fear, hard work, commitment, stress, isolation, old people.
Rahu – North Node of the Moon: Incarnational life direction this time. Driven obsessions, fears and illusions, attachment, connection to dark mass movements, exaggeration, expanded perception.
Ketu – South Node of the Moon: Past Life, meltdown and suddenness, spiritual light-bringer, dissatisfaction, detachment, solitude, scrutinizing, anonymity.

BUT IN ADDITION, CHARA KARAKAS, must be considered:
Charakarakas make a totally individual statement as to what does a planet indicate in your destiny. In particular, Eclipse on Atmakaraka AK (Soul Indicator) is very significant.

AK = the Atmakaraka the indicator of the soul and the self (also called Atma) and also our health. Our most important planet. It represents an unfinished task of prime importance left over from our past life. Predictive periods ruled by or involving your Atmakaraka can be especially trenchant and turbulent as our soul seeks to put our life on ‘spiritual course’.
AmK =  Amatyakaraka the indicator of our advisors and counsellors, and profession
BK = Bratikaraka the indicator of siblings and our teacher/guru and those close to us
MK = Matrikaraka the indicator of the mother and maternal relatives, and also those who support and nourish us
PiK = Pitrikaraka the indicator of the father (and paternal relatives) and also bosses and employers and authority figures
PuK = Putrakaraka the indicator of children and also our students and followers
GK = Gnatikaraka the indicator of our rivals and enemies, as well as kinsmen and relatives
DK = Darakaraka the indicator of the marriage partner or lover.  This is also seen for wealth and business
Ketu the South Node of the Moon does not represent ‘worldly life’: he is the karaka of enlightenment, the path of the soul towards moksha, which is the exact opposite of worldly life.

House Affected by an Eclipse:
So, let’s look, next, at the House that this Eclipse falls in, in your Vedic birth Chart:
This Table also shows which Houses a planet indicates, and this must be taken into account if the Eclipse falls on that planet: Here’s two example of what’s affected if the Eclipse falls in your 6th House or your 8th House, and do look at the general ‘How to interpret an Eclipse’ Video/Blog for fuller detail:

6th House – (Mars, Saturn) enemies, debts, health and disease, work and service, foreigners, pets, enemies, effort, resistance to illness, immune system. Our capacity to do hard labour – overcome physical obstacles / enemies.

8th House – (Saturn) sex, death, the occult, dark / hidden side of life, longevity, research, destruction / regeneration of any sort. Through the 8th house we confront our mortality. It can determine the ultimate meaning of our lives.

PurvAshadha, The Nakshatra affected by this Eclipse:
Lastly, I’d like to look at this brief excerpt about Nx 20. PurvaAshadha. This is the Nakshatra that this Eclipse falls in, as due to the upcoming Saturn-Ketu-Pluto conjunction these people will be especially experiencing energies of awesome dimensions:
PurvAshadha Nakshatra spans: 13°20′ to 26°40′ Sagittarius / Dhanus
Padas are: Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio
Ruled by Venus (Venus Dasa : 20 years)
Translation: The Former Unsubdued. PurvAshadha means “early victory”.
Power Animal/Yoni: Male Monkey
Motivation: Moksha
Guna Triplicity: Sattva, Rajas and Tamas
Ayurvedic Dosha: Pitta
Body Part: Back
Gana: Human
Quality: Fierce

PurvAshadha Key Words:
Strength and Victory. Invincible: they smash through anything in their way. Proud, independent. Obstinate and can’t be influenced by others. Their symbol, the fan denotes superiority.
They have an intense conviction that they cannot lose, and they have the ability to come out on top – and a times this can be misplaced or positively malign for the effect they will have on others. it is not an impatient energy; but it is implacable – and can, of course, be unrealistic or inappropriate.
They need to maintain purity, but often a false purity becomes a supreme and destructive and can be formulaic agenda.

The Astrology of January 2019 and Presentation of Body Code Healing

Michael Conneely

Michael ConneelyWelcome to the Astrology and Healing Magazine Issue 13 for January 2019.

First of All have a wonderful Happy, successful and spiritually fulfilled 2019.

Michael Conneely gives you invaluable information about the planetary energies we will be encountering in January 2019.

Maggie Pashley then brings you news about healing and empowerment through the very powerful method of Body Code Healing.

The major Astrological events in January 2019 are as follows, and the charts for January 2019 are at the foot of this Blog Post :

The Nodes of the Moon Change Signs:
The Change of signs of the transiting Nodes on 7th March will mean major shifts globally, and in your individual life, in the weeks before and especially after the nodes change sign. So, Rahu transits from Vedic Cancer to Vedic Gemini; Ketu transits from Vedic Capricorn to Vedic Sagittarius.
Do note what Houses this transit goes from and to in your individual birth chart. This is key to understanding how your life will now change. So, just as an example, if Vedic Gemini is your 12th house, then Rahu transiting through it could mean ‘Foreign Enlightenment’, search for spiritual illumination, or healing might be aided by a more spiritual approach, or attaching yourself to an institution or spending more time in isolation. Beware debts! Within thsi transit of the Nodes of the Moon:

Rahu enters Punarvasu Nakshatra:
on 2nd January.
Rahu is coming to the end of his transit through Vedic sign of Cancer, and on 2nd Janaury he enters Punarvasu Nakshatra which spans from Vedic Gemini to Vedic Cancer (20 deg Vedic Gemini to Vedic Cancer 3 deg 20.
Rahu, North Node of the Moon, transits through Punarvasu Nakshatra from 3rd January until 12th September, when Rahu then moves into Ardra Nakshatra.
And note that during this period, Rahu’s also transits across the sign boundary: from the sign of Vedic Cancer to the sign of Vedic Gemini.) on 7th March 2019,
Actually, I am a bit cautious as to how Rahu’s transit will affect those with significant planets in Punarvasu Nakshatra.
This is partly because Punarvasu (occupying Gemini as it does) is very mentalistic. For this reason, I urge that those affected should definitely avoid loads of question rather than seeking answers, and they should check that their mentalism is not cutting off inspiration, nor is it a case of ‘head rather than heart’.
My caution is also because Rahu is ruled by Jupiter, and I do think that Rahu does actually risk spoiling the purity of Jupiter.
Rahu can be very driven. It can even be tawdry or dark or ranting, so I do recommend that those affected by this transit monitor their energies.
The Cancer part of Punarvasu has Pushkara status, so careful perception of the effects of Rahu’s transit could bring healing of any planets there.
Note that Rahu is exalted in Gemini, but, again, be wary if this leads to ranting. I really mean this.

Mars transits from 6 to 26 Vedic Pisces in January. At the same time, Jupiter transits from 17 to 23 deg Vedic Scorpio.
This creates a Parivatana Yoga between Mars and Jupiter.
Parivatana Yoga is an ‘exchange of signs’.
This is because Mars is in Jupiter’s sign of Pisces and Jupiter is in Mars sign of Scorpio.
I do feel this offers inspiration.
It is so important to check out what Houses Scorpio and Pisces are in your Vedic Birth Chart.
Scorpio is my 5th and Pisces is my 9th House, and I have noted loads of inspiration and creativity. So, in my case, these are Dharma Houses. I feel I have made good steps lately to be more clearly able to manifest my aims and destiny.
But, although I do feel that although the Parivatana Yoga increases the force of Mars and Jupiter, there is need to avoid reacting negatively to tension, hurt etc. so the duration of this Yoga can be a chance to go beyond that, and not to act out the hurts and furies, but to bring in love instead. I say this because both these planets in water signs. Mars gets very steamy in water signs. But this Parivatana transit is good for visionaries.
Mars entered Nx 26 UttaraBhadra Nakshatra on December 28th. He enters Nx 27 Revati, the final Nakshatra, on January 17th, and Mars crosses the Pisces to Aries Gandanta transiting from Vedic Pisces into Ashwini/Aries on 5th February.
UttaraBhadra is ruled by Saturn, Revati is ruled by Mercury and Ashwini is ruled by Ketu, so we need to take these rulerships into account in assessing the predictive the meaning of your Mars transit.

Solar Eclipse: 6th January:
This is at 01.28 hrs in Sligo, Ireland, at 21 deg Vedic Sagittarius in PurvAshadha Nakshatra.
That’s at 15 deg Western Capricorn.
Please see my detailed separate YouTube Video and Blog on this Eclipse which will be published shortly before the Eclipse.
This Eclipse is really major as it ushers in the upcoming SaturnKetuPluto major Conjunction.

How will an Eclipse affect me?
And do also make sure to see my detailed separate YouTube Video and Blog on ‘How to assess how an Eclipse, and how an Eclipse will affect you’ – a guide to be published in early January 2019.

Most importantly, January sees the start of the major ‘Saturn Ketu Pluto Conjunction‘ at the time of this Eclipse. Please see my detailed separate YouTube Video and Blog on this absolutely major conjunction, which will be published shortly.

How will a Transit affect me?
And do also make sure to see my detailed separate YouTube Video and Blog – a guide on how to assess how a Transit will affect you. This too will be published shortly.

Uranus Stations Direct at 4 deg Aries
on 6th January.
This Uranus transit is revolutionary and inspirational in what it’s offering to Ashwinis and those with planets in Vedic Aries, and in the life affairs for any of us in the House that Vedic Aries is in our Vedic birth chart.
And it is also good for those with planets in Vedic Libra, opposite. As always, check out what House in your Vedic birth chart that Uranus is transiting in, and also check out what House this Uranus transit is opposing, as well.
My natal Mercury is at 5 deg Libra, and as I mentioned, my writing is going so well. Of course, my Mercury is in Chitra, and Chitra is ruled by Visvakarma, the Heavenly Architect. Chitras are born to uncover the pearl that is their creativity in this life, event tough it often starts off with the pearl well and truly blocked or covered. The covering shell may be dull, but open the shell and the beauty of the pearl is revealed.
How will this Uranus Transit affect you? Have A Reading: Have and Astrology Reading with Michael Conneely. Expert Vedic Astrology combined with Western Psychodynamic and Evolutionary Western Astrology:  www.starwheelastrology.com/buyanastrologyreading

Jupiter has a very long Transit through Jyestha Nakshatra in the Vedic Sign of Scorpio:
This Jupiter in Jyestha transit runs all month, and until 5th November 2019 (apart from a brief month when Jupiter crosses the Scorpio-Sagittarius Gandanta and into Vedic Sagittarius and in Mula Nakshatra, from end March to end April 2019).
Do make sure to see my detailed separate YouTube Video and Blog on Jupiter’s very significant transit in Jyestha Nakshatra, to be published shortly.

Venus enters Vedic Scorpio
on 1st January
Venus remains in Vedic Scorpio until the last day of the month, and I want to start by honouring the many gifts Venus long transit in Libra bought. Maggie and I went to so many wonderful musical events in multi-cultural nearby city of Sligo. I had such success and inspiration writing my novel.
But now Venus is in different territory in Mars-ruled Vedic Scorpio, and is heading towards conjunction with Jupiter in Vedic Scorpio on January 21st
We have just completed the wonderful transit of Mercury through Vedic Scorpio, together with Jupiter, that I found brought such impetus to creativity. So, I want to honour Mercury and Jupiter in Vedic Scorpio too, and make the resolution to continue steady creative output.

Lunar Eclipse: 21st January:
05.16 hrs in Sligo, Ireland at 6 deg Vedic Cancer, in Pushyami Nakshatra.
That’s 1 deg Western Leo.
Please see my detailed separate YouTube Video and Blog which will be published shortly before this upcoming Lunar Eclipse.

Neptune turned Direct on 17th December.  Neptune is at 20 Vedic Aquarius in Shatabishak Nakshatra. I just want to register the immense power of Neptune in offering us illusion or guiding vision. Check out what Houses this transiting Neptune is occupying or opposing in your birth chart, and what planets this transiting Neptune is aspecting in your chart. I feel I owe such a debt to Neptune in that he has been opposition my natal Venus, and I have felt such benefic influence from this I the novel I am writing. In fact, during a major aspectation of Neptune around 2003, I developed Clairvision and Clairaudience for a period.

Pluto, as we have already said, transits from 26 to 27 deg Vedic Sagittarius, in Nx 21 UttarAshadha Nakshatra, ruled by Sun. In Western Tropical Zodiac, that’s 20 to 21 deg Capricorn.
I feel that Pluto is like a great force readying to activate at the moment, as the Mars – Ketu – Pluto conjunction steadily forms and tightens I the Heavens.

Chiron transits from 4 to 5 deg Vedic Pisces. This is in Dhanistha Nakshatra, which ends at 6 deg 40 Vedic Pisces giving way to Ns 24 Shatabishak. The transits of Chiron are of vast importance offering us opportunity to experience and heal our existential woundedness. Chiron Astrology is one of the supreme gifts to human evolution.

As a certified Body Code practitioner, I work with clients all around the world offering distance sessions via zoom or messenger, and also face-to-face sessions in Co Sligo.

Chiropraktor Bradley Nelson discovered that when his clients didn’t heal with his chiropractic treatment or when imbalances returned, it was due to underlying emotional stress, traumas, beliefs, hereditary energies, lifestyle choices, toxins and pathogens and so on.

Bradley Nelson developed a way of using charts and speaking to the body directly through muscle testing to discover what was the cause of his client’s problem.

Muscle testing is simply a way of getting an answer to a simple question by testing the response in a given muscle – a strong response is a yes signal and a weaker response a no signal. I use a simple O-ring test with my fingers (see video).

Once the underlying imbalances have been found we clear these energetically using a magnet.

Sometimes the energetic clearance is all that is required and sometimes further action may be indicated such having some physical therapy, eating or avoiding a particular food, doing some activity such as walking, dancing or meditation.

When I do distance sessions with my clients over the internet I stand in as a proxy for my clients as they are not physically present and test myself on their behalf.

The Body Code is quite comprehensive and covers different areas such as energies, offensive or interfering energies, toxins, pathogens, misalignments and food and lifestyle choices.

There are six major sections, and each of these sections is multi-layered. For example, the energies section contains trapped emotions, physical or emotional trauma, addictive energies, sabotaging energies (either from ourselves or from others), entities, cording, subliminal messages, mental patterns, allergies and intolerances and more.

We may find that one imbalance is causing another imbalance i.e. a misalignment caused by a trapped emotion of fear etc.

Each session is different and as Bradley Nelson says ‘anything can cause anything’.

I currently have a special offer of 3 sessions of Body Code for €185 (a saving of €25) which you can CLICK HERE to purchase using PayPal.

I look forward to hearing from you, and to working with you,

Maggie

Astrology and Healing Newsletter December 2018: Soul Realignment

Michael Conneely

Welcome to the Astrology and Healing Magazine
for December 2018.

Maggie Pashley brings you news about healing and empowerment through the very helpful powerful method of Soul Realignment.
And Michael Conneely gives you very useful information about the planetary energies we will be encountering in December 2018.

MAGGIE BEST JUNE 16First of all, here’s Maggie with Soul Realignment:

Soul Realignment – How aligning with your soul’s energy can be the key to success and happiness. Soul realignment helps us to understand ourselves at a deep level soul level. It helps us become aware of those choices that bring us into alignment with our soul’s energy and those things that take us out of alignment, that drain our energy, cause us to struggle through life, feel confused and frustrated. Most of all it offers really practical help at the actions we can take to bring us back into alignment.

So what is involved? You simply provide basic birth data to me and give me permission to access your soul’s record in the akashic records, allowing me to do research on your behalf and then we arrange an on-line or phone session where I go through my findings with you. Think of the akashic records as a huge on-line database, in some ways similar to the internet, which contains all the information about you at soul level.

I then look at your soul profile – the energies that you were designed to work with, which are your gifts to bring to the world, your soul group and your current level of awareness.  This tells you which actions are going to support you and align you with your soul’s energies and which are negative for you because they pull you out of alignment. I also look at karmic patterns affecting you. These are negative choices that you have made at some point, either in this lifetime or a past lifetime and which have created programs that are still running and affecting you.

What is presented to me is what you are able to clear in this present moment and I first do a clearing on your behalf before the session which is then activated by your engagement during the session itself. I also give you homework to do to reinforce the clearing work. Don’t let the word homework put you off as it’s very simple, enjoyable and empowering and does not take much time.

However, the most important thing is that you begin to take action in the physical world in line with what we have discussed during the session. The clearing itself gives you more energy and inspiration to begin to make those choices but it is those choices, however small, that are in alignment with your soul’s energy that make all the difference.

A soul realignment session can give you a greater sense of purpose, an appreciation of yourself, and motivate you to express more of your divine nature. It can release you from energy drains either from past choices or from current choices. It can also give you more energy and inspiration because you naturally receive more energy from your soul when there are fewer blocks. It is not like that energy wasn’t always available, it is that we were not able to receive it.

Clients I have worked with have found their session very empowering and energising. Feedback is generally along the lines of having more clarity, more motivation and inspiration to take action. Clients have found it very encouraging and often surprising to hear about their particular gifts, as often we take them for granted, or we can invest so much energy in trying to express ourselves in ways that aren’t really ours.

If you’re curious to find out more about being aligned with your soul’s energy,  then visit my website page: www.maggiepashley.com/soul-realignment or email Maggie at maggiepashley@gmail.com or call her on +353 899799642 That’s 0899799642 from within Ireland.

And now, Michael Conneely gives you useful information about the planets in December 2018: A great opportunity for perception, for insight and for understanding – for strategizing your life, and for going for  healing and empowerment as well.

My aim in this Newsletter, is to provide a map of the energies that our souls, our minds and our bodies will be navigating in this December 2018, and beyond into very big energies that are massing for the first half of 2019.

It helps to be advised of what’s coming.

When necessary, it helps to be warned.

Make a note of energies that you think you and your mind or your life will especially find challenging or rewarding to navigate.

Be prepared! Ask for blessings. Be kind. Manage your energies. Answering the question: ‘Why is this happening to me?’ is crucial.
Let’s start with Neptune.
Neptune
Neptune went direct on 26th November 2018. See the Western and Vedic Astrology Ephemeris images at the foot of this blog for details of all planet movements in December 2018.
And you can see that Neptune is still at 19 deg Vedic Aquarius (13 to 14 deg Western Pisces)
And the thing is: the slower a planet’s motion, the stronger its energy, the deeper it carves its energy into our consciousness, into our lives.

Positively, Neptune is vision, intuition and sensitivity. Negatively it’s deception, illusion, delusion, alcohol etc.

So my point is that we are being offered the chance to really have to see things clearly now. Then we can act to reject the deceptive energy; we carry on with it at our peril.

Then we can properly embrace the visionary energy. And remember, Neptune’s effect is especially strong if he’s transiting conjunct your ascendant (or other chart angle) or conjunct one of your planets, or if he’s transiting opposition to one of your planets
See my Neptune Video:

Check out how this very powerful slow-moving Neptune energy interacts with the planets in your chart. This can give  very useful perception and allow you to take useful action.

Uranus:
Uranus is slowly retrograding from 5 to 4 deg Vedic Aries, in impatient but potentially Healer Nakshatra: Ashwini (That’s Uranus transiting retrograde from 29 – 28 deg Aries in Western Astrology).
Now, Uranus is the lightning spear of revolution. It calls us to smash our old confining structures and embrace our more inspired self.
But we are talking Uranus Retrograde here since 9th August, and so the call is also to consolidate the revolution you brought in when Uranus was transiting direct from January 2018.
Look back and see what big changes you have brought in: are they now grounded and consolidated? And also, do please check out if you resisted any needed big changes!!!!
See my Uranus Video:

And please take note that Uranus is transiting opposition Venus in the Heavens at this time.
Check out how this lightning inspirational, though potentially inhuman energy, interacts with your individual chart.

Transiting Neptune and Uranus in your Life:
Of course, it is important to look within yourself and check out what are these two transits of Neptune and Uranus doing in your life?
What is their message for your sense of who you are?
How you have to run your job? Etc.
Be open to the need to revamp the different facets of your life due to the insight energies being delivered to your now by transiting Uranus and Neptune.
Sit down and really take stock!

Now we come to something huge: the Pluto, Saturn and Ketu Conjunction:
Something’s really vast is gathering!
Look at the chart for 1st December 2018: see that the Saturn Pluto conjunction is forming ever firmer as the weeks go by.
chart for 1st December 2018

Next, look at the chart for 11th April 2019, which is the day when Jupiter next turns Retrograde.
chart for 11th April 2019

Pluto is at 28 deg Vedic Sagittarius; Ketu the South Node of the Moon is at 28 deg Vedic Sagittarius and Saturn is at 26 deg Sagittarius.
I am particularly interested in this, personally, because on 1st April 2019, this KetuPlutoSaturn conjunction will exactly square my natal Moon.

In the chart for 11th April 2019, note that Pluto and Ketu are in UttaraAshadha Nakshatra. Pluto is at the end of Vedic Sagittarius. Ketu/South Node having nearly completed his retrograde transit through Capricorn.
And note also that Saturn is in PurvaAshadha, near the end of Vedic Sagittarius.

The Ketu Saturn conjunction starts on 7th March 2019, when Ketu moves from Vedic Capricorn to Vedic Sagittarius, where Saturn and Pluto are already transiting. But note that on 23rd April, the Ketu Saturn conjucntion gets fiercer because Ketu joins Saturn in PurvaAshadha.

This Ketu-Saturn conjunction will strongly affect people; especially people with Sun, Moon or Lagna or other planets as well, in PurvaAshadha. Check out your chart!!! This is really important. If you have your key planets in Vedic Sagittarius or Vedic Capricorn, you will be heavilty affected by this (or planets opposite in Vedic Cancer or Gemini).

Even if you don’t have planets in these signs, note that this energy will heavily affect the area of your life denoted by the Houses that these signs are in your Vedic birth chart.

And if you have Moon in Vedic Scorpio, Sagittarius or Vedic Capricorn, note that you are in Sade Sate as well. I do advise you get a reading from me so as to identify what you must let go of and what you must embrace at this time.

People with planets in Vedic Sagittarius, especially if those planets are in PurvaAshadha and UttaraAshadha need to hear this, assess their lives. Review what their options are.

And this is true, too, for people with planets opposite, in Vedic Gemini (the Mrigashira / Ardra Nakshatra people).

It’s big, huge, serious stuff in our lives. Absolutely: get a reading from me if this applies to you: www.starwheelastrology.com/buyanastrologyreading

Let’s look at the nature of the planets involved in this gathering conjucntion of Pluto, Saturn and Ketu:

Ketu South Node:
Ketu’s spiritual aim is to get us to achieve our truth and enlightenment and spiritual awareness, truth-searcher Ketu dissolves and melts down often with horrific suddenness. Ketu can produce fear and illusion – or psychism, here, sudden events and accidents, mysterious health issues and illnesses.

Saturn, Lord of Karma:
Saturn demands hard work, structure, focus, patience, endurance and enforced learning these life-time’s karmas, responsibility. Often when there’s the Ketu-Saturn combination, people embrace the spiritual right career for them that they’ve ignored all along, or their wrong career crashes because its useless now.

Pluto:
And Pluto’s there too!!!! Saturn Pluto is a formidable combination. At its best it is the container for atomic change, it is the firm-held strategy with explosive potential. It can however be too controlling.

The Ketu-Saturn conjunction mystic call produces self-doubt. Or at a lower level, wrong structures are struck by earthquake.

This Ketu-Saturn-Pluto stellium must not be ignored! If your chart has planets there, or in opposition, then you seriously need to address this. Contact me for a Reading.

Do check out what house (area of your life) this stellium falls in, in your Vedic birth chart.

Ask these questions:

Is Saturn your current Dasa Lord? Check out whether Saturn is your Dasa Lord. Dasas are the magnificently powerful system of Vedic predictive periods that unfold from birth.

Is your natal Moon in Vedic Scorpio, Sagittarius or Capricorn? i.e. check if you are in Sade Sate (when Saturn transits through the sign before your Moon’s sign, the sign occupied by your Moon and the sign after that). The influence of Ketu and Pluto on Saturn in your life will be all the more powerful.

Is Your natal Sun in PurvaAshadha/Vedic Sagittarius?
And definitely check out if your Sun is in PurvaAshadha or Vedic Sagittarius: Saturn transiting conjunct the Sun in your birth chart is serious business. The Saturn conjunct Sun transit means either Professional Downfall OR Golden Reaping. Which it is all depends on how well you are on course for manifesting your Sun’s individual qualities in this life, and depends also on how well you are honouring the demands of Lord Shani, Lord of Karma, that you be diligent, patient, ethical and do the needed hard work in this life! on whether you are burning your negative karmas or developing your expression of your positive karmas and the special spark you incarnated this time to express (and overcome any of the inbuilt karmic blocks to that expression).

And don’t forget the effect of Mars on all this:
Add in the fact of Mars Aspect to all this: Note that Mars is casting a hostile energy 10th House aspect on this Saturn-Ketu-Pluto in Vedic Sagittarius conjunction, all while Mars transits Pisces from 23rd December to 5th February 2019, and, importantly: then again, a hostile energy 8th house aspect from his transit in Vedic Taurus 22nd March 2019 to 6th May 2019

Lunations:
Lunations are so important to be aware of in our life: when they are, where they are in the signs, and what they will mean for our mind.

New Moon:
There’s a New Moon on 7th December 2018 This is at 21 Vedic Scorpio, in Jyestha Nakshatra. Note that the transiting Mars conjunct Neptune is square this New Moon. So it does have real intuitive potential. Work out what your Truth is.
Eradicate influences for Deception or delusion in your life: these are the other side of the Mars-Neptune conjunction. The Mars Neptune conjunction is actually in Shatabishak Nakshatra. The downside of this is that people with Lagna or Moon in Shatabishak may fall prone to hissy-fits, but the positive side is the directed intuitive inspirational energy while this brief transiting conjunction lasts.

And actually, the energy of Mars is powerful, and so therefore is the effect of Neptune at the time of this New Moon. This is because Mars is the Lord (or Dispositor) of the signs occupied by the New Moon, and by Mercury, and by Jupiter, both in Vedic Scorpio – and by revolutionary inspirational lightning-bearer, Uranus, transiting in early Vedic Aries, now.

Remember, Moon is Debilitated in Vedic Scorpio. You’ll need to watch your mind!
And then, after the Moon’a passage through Scorpio, the Moon transits over Saturn, Pluto, Ketu, Neptune and then Mars, so, yes, we must be aware of paranoias and vulnerabilities and destabilizations of our minds, during this transiting Moon period, which lasts until 16th December. during this period, Moon not only transits the Gandanta zone from Vedic Scorpio to Vedic Sagittarius, Moon also transits through a string of malefic planets, thus destabiing our minds:
Moon conjunct transiting Saturn 8th December.
Moon conjunct transiting Pluto on 9th December.
Moon conjunct transiting Ketu on 10th December.
Moon conjunct transiting Neptune in Shatabishak on 14th December.
Moon conjunct transiting Mars on 15th December.

Be careful not to let unreasonable or ranting people drive you into retaliation, or leave you doing OCD mental repetitions at the injustice of their verbal attacks.
NOTE: This December 2018 New Moon at 15 deg western Sagittarius.

Full Moon:
There’s a Full Moon on 22nd December 2018 with Moon at 6 deg Vedic Gemini in Ardra Nakshatra, Sun at 6 deg Vedic Sagittarius in Mula Nakshatra.
Ardra is an implacable tunnel-visioned energy. It’s ruled by Rahu. Not the easiest place for Full Moon!

Watch out for the effect of Full Moon energies. You have been warned! If you are on course spiritually and psychologically, they can be liberating if they fall on one of your natal planets. But otherwise: hissy fits and lunacy!
This is Full Moon at 0 deg western Cancer and Sun at 0 western Capricorn.
See my Full Moon Video (recorded regarding the November 2018 Full Moon, but with key guidance applying to the way we handle all Full Moons):

Mercury started December Retrograde
Mercury is Retrograde until December 8th: Have you too had agonising communication hitches and misunderstandings? Google ‘upgraded’ my Gmail: losing all my bookmarks!
In the Vedic Sidereal Zodiac, that’s Mercury’s  start December at 4 Scorpio, then turn direct at 3 Scorpio on December 8th, and Mercury will end the month at 29 Scorpio (in the gandanta).

All the while Mercury is transiting (and at time retrograde) in Scorpio, Mercury receives an aspect from Rahu transiting in Cancer. Not a recipe for clear, easy communication!!! It’s a close aspect that Mercury received from Rahu until December 12th. There could be some very ranted communications!
(In the western zodiac, that’s Mercury transits from 0 western Sagittarius on 1st December to 27 Western Scorpio on 8th December when he turned direct and Mercury ends December at 22 Western Sagittarius).

Venus:
Venus transits from 5 – 29 deg Vedic Libra in December. This month is Venus’ last days in his exceptionally long 2018 transit in Vedic libra, his own sign, where he brings ease, affection and beauty; comfort and happiness. Smiles. Socialising, diplomacy and art. I have Sun in Vedic Libra. We’re such nice guys! (Well, that’s my story!)

This gives relationship happiness opportunity to Vedic Aries people, and is good for happiness for people with emphasis in Vedic Cancer, and cheers Career for Vedic Capricorn emphasis people: in other words, the Venus transit in angular (Kendra) sign 7, and this resonates with Cardinal signs 1, 4 and 10 as well. Malavya yoga is caused by Shukra/Venus) occupying a Kendra, in own or exaltation rasi. It’s Malavya Yoga: ‘A (person) born in Malavya yoga is possessed of beautiful lips, a thin waist and is of moon like (splendorous) complexion. He emanates a good smell, is somewhat fair, of medium structure and possessed of beautiful and clean teeth…’

Mars
Mars transits from 16 deg Vedic Aquarius to 5 deg Vedic Pisces in December 2018. Mars will be free of the rulership of Saturn, at last, on 23rd December when he enters Vedic Pisces! Goodness, what a driven experience the Mars transit in Vedic Capricorn was, with Ketu there as well. What intensity!

So, Mars will actually transit Vedic Pisces from 23rd December to 5th February, and given that Jupiter is at this time transiting in Vedic Scorpio, ruled by Mars, this creates Parivatana Yoga:
Mars in Jupiter-ruled sign; Jupiter in Mars-ruled sign. This gives strength to the two planets, Mars and Jupiter.

But be careful what House the yoga planets fall in in your chart.
I have Vedic Cancer Lagna, so this Mars/Jupiter exchange is good in my life, as the planets concerned are in the 5th and 9th signs in my chart: Scorpio and Pisces.
But if you have Leo ascendant in your Vedic birth chart, be careful. This is because Jupiter is in 8th House from Leo, and the exchange creates loss-making power for the yoga: Dainya Yoga, for Leo Lagnas.
For Libra Risers, Mars is transiting in 6th House: hard work can be achieved, but there will be tensions, even enemies.
Get a Reading for me and I will predict what thsi transit means for you, alongside all your other predictive indicators.

Jupiter
Jupiter transits from 11 – 17 deg Vedic Scorpio in December. This is so good for writing, with Mercury also there in Vedic Scorpio, even though the Mercury Retrograde which ends December 8th 2018, will bring up its usual demands!!!! And this Jupiter and Mercury transit through Scorpio is not just good for writing, it’s good for penetrating awareness: Jupiter and Mercury in Mars’ water sign Jupiter! I am loving the energy. Scorpio’s my 5th House of Creativity. My latest novel’s going great! Really great!! And also there’s the Venus in Libra energy flowing balm into creative writing at this time too. And there’s Music as well! I have even been invited to read my poems at a regular music event in nearby Sligo, which as you may know is the multi-ethnic inspirational culture capital of Ireland!

Nodes of the Moon change Sign:
Note that the Nodes of the Moon, always Retrograde, change signs on 7th March 2019.
It’s really important to be aware that the nodes (always retrograde) change sign on 7th March. Rahu leaves Vedic Cancer and enters Vedic Gemini. Ketu leaves Vedic Capricorn and enters Vedic Sagittarius to join Saturn and Pluto (see above). So Rahu has been transiting my first house Cancer making me ambitious and driven, but when Rahu enters my 12th Hosue Gemini on March 7th for his 18 months per sign transit, the energy I will have to deal with in my life will be very different. I expect it to be visionary emphasis.

Ketu
Ketu (South Node) is transiting through is transiting through Vedic Capricorn. It has been so powerful when it was transiting in Capricorn because Mars was there for a long time as well. Phew!
But now transiting Mars is in Vedic Aquarius, but the point is, that that means that Ketu in Capricorn is actually hemmed in by malefics: Ketu has Mars in Aquarius on one side, and Ketu has Saturn in Sagittarius on the other side.  This is Papakartari Yoga. It will be hard for us to feel steady when Ketu is hemmed in by malefics, which is the case until Mars enters Vedic Pisces on 23rd December.
With Ketu having been transiting Vedic Uttarashadha, some of the people with key planets in UttaraAshadha are having spiritual awakenings, but people with Uttarashadha emphasis can find it hard to accommodate Ketu’s inspiration and realisations. This is because Uttarashadha people are often fixed, often self-orientated, often with directed mind-set and patterns. Ketu moves from UttaraAshadha to PurvaAshadha on 9th May 2019. And of course the planetary climate in PurvaAshadha becomes utterly extreme, with Pluto and Saturn also there, see above.

Rahu
Rahu is transiting through Vedic Cancer. So, if you have ascendant or Sun in Vedic Cancer, your default will be driven ambition to express yourself, whatever else may be going on from the transits and your Dasha (Vedic predictive Period) at this time that may be bringing very different things in other areas of your life.
The Nodes cast 1,5,9 aspects to the Houses other than the one they occupy. So this means Rahu will be affecting the other water signs as well: Scorpio and Pisces, with his ambition, with his over-drive.
Note that Rahu moves from Pushyami Nakshatra to Punarvasu Nakshatra, on 3rd January 2019.

Chiron
Chiron transits all December 2018 at a standstill, and so is very powerful in the lives of those of us who have natal planets aspected by Chiron at this time, and to the area of life denoted by the House in our birth chart that Chiron is now transiting standstill in.
This is 4 deg Vedic Pisces.
In western tropical zodiac, Chiron is at 28 western Pisces retrograde.
Chiron turns direct on 15th December.
Chiron ends December conjunct Mars in the Heavens. So babies born at this time will have the powerful script to heal: their existential wound will be Chiron conjunct Mars.

Sun enters Vedic Sagittarius on 15th December 2018, and leaves Vedic Sagittarius to enter Vedic Capricorn on 14th January.
Note that Sun will thus be entering the Ketu-Saturn-Pluto minefield (or re-birth area!) see above for the details of this.
